While the iPhone had regularly received changes for this application, its larger brother, the iPad, hadn't received much love. Well that changed this week when Tap Tap Tap finally released a major update for the iPad (ver 2.0) bringing a much needed refresh for the application and bringing it at par to the functionality in the iPhone (ver 8.0). You can really tell where the focus of the developers are just by looking at that version number :) Camera+ has been my "swiss army knife" for mobile photography and this is personally my #1 app for photo editing. Here's a summary of the changes:
Camera+ for iPad 2 is finally here! Get ready for this big update with an all-new, slick, modern user interface.
Version 2 sports the world class, professional photo editing that you users of Camera+ for iPhone have been enjoying via The Lab. But the iPad version takes photo editing to a new level by supporting selective brushing of the various edits and filters. And those of you who own an Apple Pencil will appreciate it even more because we’ve also added Pencil support, enabling you to get very fine, precise control over brushing with it.
Here’s the extensive list of powerful tools available to you in The Lab:
- Clarity Pro
- Rotate & Flip
- Soft Focus
- Film Grain
- Highlight Detail
- Shadow Detail
Camera+ for iPad now also fully supports iPad multitasking.
As the saying goes, "better late than never." You can purchase the application for $4.99 from the AppStore. It's iPhone app on the other hand costs $2.99. Considered as one of the Essentials app in the AppStore, this application is highly recommended!
